Tewkesbury Town Band can trace its history back to 1838 when records show the existence of a Town Band which, on June 28th of that year, led a procession through the town of Tewkesbury to celebrate the coronation of Queen Victoria.

Currently the band, under the directorship of its conductor, Nigel Morgan, undertakes numerous engagements throughout the year as well as competing in the 4th Section at area and national level. In 2005, the band was the National 4th Section Champion Band in the Butlins Mine Workers Open Championships.

Martin Warner of Euphology is currently the band's principal Euphonium player, and Michael Blake of Euphology is currently the band's 2nd Baritone player.
